The Best Frozen Yogurt In Town

This summer I spent a week in Chico, during that week I toured Chico’s campus and also the town of Chico itself. I went to the most popular places in downtown Chico, like The Bear, Celes20181012_152620[145]tino’s, and Jon and Bon’s. For this blog I visited Jon and Bon’s again because I loved it the first time I went there. Jon and Bon’s is a frozen yogurt shop, they also have ice cream and shaved ice as well. But my personal favorite is their frozen yogurt. There is many reasons why I love Jon and Bon’s, first of all their frozen yogurt is amazing and also it’s close to where I live. It’s like a fifteen minute walk which is not that bad, since I don’t have a car it’s easy to walk there. But one thing that I don’t like about this place is the prices. I think it’s a little overprice, back home all the frozen yogurt shops I went to had the weighting system. What this means is that you would get all the yogurt and toppings you wanted, and at the end an employee would weight it and you would get charged by the ounce. This is not how Jon and Bon’s works, they have actual sizes and each size has a specific prize, and also the toppings are extra. Although it can be pricey I do have an app, called pocket points, which gives you discounts to many restaurants and other stores. If I have enough points I can get a discount on my yogurt, so far I have gotten a discount twice, which is nice since it is expensive.

For this visit I went with my friend who hasn’t been there before. We went right after our classes ended, which was a good idea because it wasn’t that full. If you are planning to go there, I recommend that you don’t go later at night because it gets kind of full. Also they have like two employees which sucks because they take forever to take your order. I ended up getting a small chocolate and coffee frozen yogurt with an Oreo topping, which was pretty good. My friend ended up getting a small French vanilla yogurt with peanuts as the topping. Since it was her first time trying, Jon and Bon’s I decided to ask her a few questions about her experience. I ask her  how she liked it and if she would be back. She replied with ” I actually really like it, they have a lot of options, and the staff is really friendly. Although it is a little bit pricey, but next time I know to download pocket points to get a discount. I would definitely come back and maybe try their shave ice.” If you are craving something sweet I would recommend that you trying out Jon and Bon’s, you won’t regret it. Also if you do think it’s pricey like I do, there is a junior special, which gives you a free toping. I always get the this because it is cheaper and smaller. Although I only been in Chico for only two months Jon and Bon’s is my go to go place for frozen yogurt. o.jpg
