Adventures In Skyway And Notre Dame

For the past four weeks me and my group from university 101 have been visiting numerous of places in our assigned location. For our location we were assigned the two intersections between Skyway and Notre Dame. These two places mostly included shops and restaurants. One of the most well known place there has to be the Mcdonalds, in Notre Dame boulevard. Besides Mcdonalds there is more restaurants located there like Burger King, Izakaya Ichiban,Cocodine Thai Cuisine, and Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza. There is also a Raley’s at this location. This place is mostly for dining and shopping since there is also a Ross and Tj max there. This location is in the other side of town, so if you do want to go there you either have to drive or take the bus there. This place is mostly used my families and students since it has variety of restaurants and clothing stores.

The first time we went to our location we got there using the B line. It was actually pretty easy to figure out how it works. We took bus seventeen around two thirty, and we got to our location around three fifteen. The B line is a great way of transportation but if you are in a hurry, I recommended that you don’t take it because it does take a while. Once we got off the bus we were all pretty hungry. So we decided to go to McDonalds, the McDonalds here is really different from the one back home. They have this self check out machines that I never seen before, overall it was a lot nicer, but the services was pretty bad. But I wasn’t surprised since it is McDonalds you do not go there for the great customer serves, you go there for the cheap and fast food. After that we went to  Clothing Revival, a clothing store, which has new and used clothes. I actually thought that the clothes they had was pretty nice and a reasonable price, but the other girls did not so we ended up leaving the store. After that we went to Ross, which was cheaper the Clothing Revival. All of us love shopping so we did take a while at Ross. I ended up buying a new hair brush because I thought I lost mine, but I ended up finding it. I also bought a shirt, I actually do not need any new clothes but it was really cute, and cheap, so I was really tempted. I ended up buying the brush and a shirt for sixteen dollars, which is pretty cheap. Since we were in Ross for a while, we ended up missing our bus, so we just stayed longer until the next bus came. If you are using the bus as your transportation I recommend that you plan out your trip. Know what bus you are taking and at what time you are taking it, so you know how much time you can actually spend at a place without missing your bus, like we did. We also went to Raley’s, which is a grocery shop, this was my first time going to a Raley’s, I don’t think they have them in Southern California.  We did not buy anything from there because it is expensive. We just walked around to see what it is like, we notice that there wasn’t many people there, maybe because it was late in the afternoon, it probably gets busier earlier in the day. Overall our visits to our location have been pretty good, for me the best part was learning how to use the B line. Since I do not have a car, I know that this skill will be useful in the future and it is also free which is even better.
